Mod 1908/34 Brazilian Mauser bayonet, brass mounted leather scabbard
Mod 1908/34 Mauser bayonet, Steel pommel, cross guard with forward swept quillon, wood grips held by two steel washers held by rivets. 297mm/11.3/4″ fullered single edged steel blade. This bayonet appears to have no markings at all. No serial number, manufacturer or acceptance marks. Complete in brass mounted, black leather scabbard. These Bayonets seem to have been made to fit the 30-06 conversions of the 7mm model 1908 rifles, from about 1930, though still fit the earlier model. Serial number on the ricasso: 1510 over 1, on mouth of scabbard locket:Â 1521 over 1.
Condition: good shows light issue wear and tear, no maker or Inspectors marks
Scabbard: brass mounted on black black leather.
