British 1903 Pattern Bayonet, Dated April 1904 by Sanderson in the 1888 pattern scabbard. The first bayonet made for use on SMLE, later replaced by the much longer 1907 pattern bayonet.
Marked on the ricasso “(Tudor crown) 1903, 4 ’04” on one side. Reverse marked “(Broad arrow, crown) S, 76, X” with “Chapman, Sheffield” below

Condition: Very good, the blade is in excellent condition, approaching mint ignoring the small rust patches. The finish on the exterior of the scabbard and bayonet is lacking almost all original finish with some minor pitting but still relatively good
