British .75 Private Purchase Brown Bess Musket. With a 985mm steel barrel, a simple foresight and rib rear sight, a brass trigger guard and butt plate, marked “B, No. 23”, and a brass plaque on the back (seemingly illegible), 1380mm in overall length. Marked with “CP” and “Crown, V” inspector marks on the barrel, opposing the lock, proof marks of London Proof House, with “GR” markings on the lock plate. Round-ended steel ramrod, held by 3 brass mounts.
Condition: Good, a very nice wall hanger however has had a lot of use and has been heavily polished. Both sling mounts are also missing.
