British Lee-Metford 1888 Pattern Mk. I, Type 2 Bayonet, with steel mounted black leather scabbard. Wood slab grips held by two brass bolts with washers, coil spring locking catch. 300mm double-edged straight blade, with no fuller. The overall length is 425mm.
Ricasso marked “WD” with a broad arrow above, with a crown, “S, 26” below. On the reverse, it’s dated “12, ’96” with “Sanderson, Sheffield” below
Condition:Â Very good, some heavy pitting to the chape of the scabbard. Overwise in near excellent order
