The Durban Regiment, based in KwaZulu-Natal, carried forward the traditions of earlier regional volunteer units and saw service through the apartheid era and into the modern South African National Defence Force (SANDF).

This die-struck bimetal (brass and chromed base metal) badge features the regiment’s eagle with spread wings on a sunburst design, surmounting a scroll reading “Pugna Celeriter”. The reverse is fitted with two-threaded fittings for secure attachment to the service cap or beret.
