Gloucestershire Regiment Cap Badge, Original

An original cap badge of the Gloucestershire Regiment, manufactured in white metal and fitted with a hook slider fastening. This British Army cap badge displays the regiment’s recognised insignia of the Sphinx and battle honour “Egypt” above a wreath and the regimental county “Gloucestershire” in clear relief. The use of white metal is characteristic of early to mid-20th-century production, and the hook slider fixing for wear on the service dress headdress.
