.303 service cartridge, rendered inert for safe handling and display. The .303 British was the standard small-arm round for the British Empire from the late 19th century through much of the 20th century, notably used in the Lee-Enfield series of rifles as well as the Vickers Machine Gun, BREN gun, British Hotchkiss and a multitude of other rifles. This example is offered as an inert display specimen with all propellant and any live primer removed or deactivated.
