King’s Own Royal Border Regiment cap badge produced as a restrike of the 1959–2006 pattern, representing the design adopted following the amalgamation of the King’s Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) and the Border Regiment. This British Army infantry cap badge displays the recognised regimental insignia in clear relief, incorporating the Royal Lion from the King’s Own Royal Regiment (Lancaster) in a wreath summounted by the Queen’s Crown, a composition characteristic of British Army headdress insignia. The design reflects the regiment’s lineage, traditions, and service as part of the King’s Division.
Manufactured in bimetal (white metal and brass) with a bright finish consistent with service dress and beret wear, this restrike example provides a sharply defined representation of the original post-amalgamation pattern. King’s Own Royal Border Regiment cap badges are collected as examples of modern British Army infantry militaria, regimental amalgamation insignia, and late 20th-century uniform hardware. The reverse is fitted with standard lug fittings for secure attachment to a cap or beret.
