A well-made restrike of the London Volunteer Rifles (LVR) cap badge, produced to the classic 1914–1919 wartime pattern. This design was worn during the First World War by members of the London Volunteer Regiments—units composed of home-service volunteers formed to bolster national defence during the conflict, particularly following the heavy manpower demands of the Western Front.
The badge features the distinctive light infantry/rifles bugle with “Volunteer” in raised text on the horn and a passat lion holding a banner reading “LVR”.
Ideal for collectors of First World War home defence units, Volunteer Training Corps insignia, and London Regiment militaria.
