King’s Own Malta Regiment cap badge, King’s Crown pattern. The regiment, raised in 1932 and active in the Second World War, was the primary territorial force of Malta, providing coastal defence and garrison duties. The badge features a Maltese cross in white metal within a circlet reading “King’s Own Malta Regiment” encircled by a wreath with a plaque below reading “MDCCC” (or 1800 when the French surrendered the island), surmounted by the King’s Crow. Produced as a restrike, this badge is intended for collectors and display rather than original uniform wear. Reverse retains standard east-west eyed lug fittings.
