Description
Reproduction .44 New Army Model Remington Revolver (Deactivated/EU Spec). Likely made by Pietta, however, any modern makers’ marks have been removed.
Originally designed as a single-action, six-shot percussion revolver, it was widely used during the American Civil War. Designed by Remington & Sons, it features a solid-frame construction with a robust top strap, a distinctive octagonal barrel, and an easy-to-remove cylinder. Chambered in .44 calibre, they were favoured by Union soldiers for its reliability, ruggedness, and quick reloading capabilities.
Condition: Good, finish is worn with little blacking remaining. The barrel seems slightly shortened, about 198mm in length rather than 203mm.
