Gilt tunic button of the Observer Corps, later the Royal Observer Corps. The design features the ROC badge design, a symbol associated with the Corps’ role in aircraft recognition and later nuclear reporting duties across the United Kingdom. Its bright gilt finish and clear detail make it a representative example of ROC uniform insignia from the mid-20th century.
Crafted in gilt metal, the button shows well-defined relief and retains much of its original sheen. The reverse is fitted with a standard shank for sewing to uniform.
Diameter
Approx. 23mm
Condition
Very good, with a strong gilt finish and only light surface rubbing from wear. The shank is intact and secure.
