Original Swedish Police helmet badge, as worn on the leather helmet, used by police forces from the inter-war period through the mid-20th century. This badge was mounted to the front of the helmet and served as the primary insignia of identification for uniformed officers.
The design features the classic Swedish crowned central shield bearing the three crowns (Tre Kronor) motif with crossed fasces. The badge is struck in brass and finished with a gilt wash, typical of period manufacture. The rear features a flat pin fitting, correctly positioned for installation onto the helmet’s front plate.
A scarce and distinctive insignia representing Sweden’s early modern policing era, ideal for collectors of European police equipment or inter-war headgear.
