1914-15 Star, Private Martin Heath, Royal Warwickshire Regiment

Serving with the 9th Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, part of the 39th brigade, Private Heath began service in the Balkans region on the 30th of September 1915 and would have served in the Gallipoli campaign until being evacuated to Egypt in January 1916 and then fought in Mesopotamia from February 1916. Elements of the 39th brigade formed Dunsterforce, which fought against the Ottoman Empire at the Battle of Baku in August 1918. William Slim served with the battalion and was awarded the Military Cross in February 1918 for actions in Mesopotamia.

Private Heath was demobilised on the 30th of July 1919.
