1st, 2nd and 3rd (Royal Westmorland Light Infantry Militia) Border Regiment Collar Badge.

White metal badge with a voided centre, featuring a Chinese dragon in a circlet that reads “Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense”, backed by a Maltese cross in a laurel wreath above a scroll reading “The Border Regt”. On the reverse are east-west copper lugs for wear.

This pattern was worn from 1895 until 1908, when the Territorial and Reserve Forces Act 1907 reorganised the reserve battalions.

Condition: Very good.
