Original 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles (British Columbia Horse) shoulder title, dating between 1914–1920, an example of early Canadian military insignia. Die-struck in bronze, the title features “2nd CMR (BC HORSE) / CANADA” in bold raised lettering, as worn by troops of the 2nd CMR during the First World War. This unit, raised in British Columbia, played a prominent role as part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, later disbanded after the war.
Condition:
Very good, with both lugs intact. Light service wear and patination appropriate to age.
