An original Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment cap badge, worn by other ranks from the regiment’s creation in 1919 until its absorption into the East Anglian Brigade in 1958. The design continues the established cap badge of the pre-1919 Bedfordshire Regiment.
Struck in white metal, the badge displays the regiment’s distinctive Hart surrounded by the cirlcet with the Royal motto, with a scroll below reading “BEDFORDSHIRE & HERTFORDSHIRE”. This is a genuine period example with crisp detail and proper fittings.
