BELGIUM AFRICAN WAR MEDAL 1940-1945 – Full size
Established on February 16th 1946, this medal was given for service during the Second World War. A number of ribbon decorations were awarded Instituted on January 30th 1947 for those eligible with at least 12 months service during the Second World War. Four bars were authorised; Nigerie (Nigeria), Moyen-Orient (Middle-East), Madagascar and Birmanie (Burma).
Ribbon: 36 mm Pale Blue with narrow Yellow stripe to centre, and a narrower yellow stripe towards each edge.
