BELGIUM ALLIED VICTORY MEDAL – MEDAILLE de la VICTOIRE 1918 – MEDAL full size
The ‘Medaille de la Victoire’ was awarded to all those who served between 1st August 1914 and 11th November 1918. Various decrees upto 1951 extended the scope of the award, to include white and coloured troops who had served in Africa, personnel of the Merchant Marine and fishing fleet and civilians who had been awarded the medal for Political Prisoners.
Ribbon: 36 mm is the familiar double rainbow pattern of the Allied Victory medals.
