British IV Corps/4 Corps printed cloth sleeve badge, as was worn in the Second World War (1940-45). IV Corps/4 Corps was a senior field formation of the British Army, which saw service in the early campaigns in Norway, Iraq, India and Burma as well as in home defence. Each formation badge consists of an elephant in black, set on a red background, produced in printed format for wear on battledress. These insignia were issued to corps troops and supporting units under IV Corps/4 Corps command, and were commonly worn on the upper sleeves of the service jacket.
