An original British Army No. 9 Mk. I bayonet, manufactured by the Royal Ordnance Factory, Poole, and dated 1949.
Features the distinctive socket-and-blade design, combining the No. 4 socket design and traditional blade form as seen on the No. 5 Jungle Carbine and L1A1 (SLR) Bayonet. Fullered steel blade with blackened socket, clearly marked with “P” (Poole) and date stamp “1949”. Complete with original steel scabbard.
Condition: Excellent, unissued – Blade retains original finish, clear markings, scabbard shows light =wear.
