British Pattern 1863 Sword bayonet for the Whitworth Rifle, with no Scabbard). 58 cm re-curved Yataghan blade, steel bird peaked pommel, steel cross-guard with chequered black leather scales held four dome rivets and the securing screw for the leaf spring held steel bayonet securing the catch.  No clear markings, except the number “19” on the pommel.
