Silver-plated uniform button of the Cheshire Yeomanry (Earl of Chester’s), produced for wear on service dress and ceremonial uniforms. The Cheshire Yeomanry adopted silvered buttons for certain orders of dress, particularly for officers. The design incorporates the Prince of Wales’s feathers and “Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry” in a belt cirlcet.
The button is die-struck in metal with a silver-plated finish, showing clear detail and a smooth, bright surface typical of officer-quality fittings. The reverse is fitted with a fixed shank for sewing to uniform garments.

Condition
Very good, retaining much of its original silvered finish with only light surface wear and dark aged patina. The detail remains sharp, and the shank is intact and secure.
