Officer’s uniform button of the Corps of Military Accountants (CMA), produced to the short-lived 1919–1925 pattern used following the Corps’ formation in the immediate aftermath of the First World War. The Corps of Military Accountants was responsible for the financial administration of the British Army, and its insignia reflects its specialist, staff-based role within the post-war military structure. In 1925, the Corps was absorbed into the Royal Army Pay Corps, making items bearing this title relatively scarce.
The button is of officer quality, die-struck in gilt metal and finished to a higher standard than other ranks’ examples. The design features the cypher and crown of George V, with the Corps title incorporated within the central motif. The reverse is fitted with a traditional shank for attachment to uniform garments.

Very good, with crisp detail throughout and an even surface finish. There is light wear consistent with age and handling, and the shank remains intact and firmly attached.
