An original Dutch M1895 Mannlicher infantry bayonet, complete with dark brown leather scabbard. Issued for use with the M1895 Mannlicher rifle, this bayonet features a single-edged, T-spine blade with a spear point, a straight crossguard with a muzzle ring, and wooden grips secured by two rivets. The pommel incorporates the standard push-button locking catch inspired by the British 1888 Pattern Lee-Metford bayonet. The scabbard is manufactured in brown leather with an integral belt frog for belt attachment. This regulation-pattern bayonet was used by Dutch forces during the early 20th century, including service in the First and Second World Wars.
Marked on the blade “HEMBRUG”, the trademark of Artillerie Inrichtingen in Zaandam. Marked on the cross guard “4936 FF” and inspector marked on the pommel and blade.

Condition
Very good. The bayonet remains in very good with the blade having the majority of its finish remaining. Wooden grips are secure with handling wear, but no cracks. The locking catch is functional. Scabbard shows small areas of wear with a split across the top of the frog.
