Great War Memorial Plaque, Private/Rifleman Alfred Percy Kent (service number 14/42245), 2nd Battalion, Royal Irish Rifles (Killed in Action 19th August 1918)

Alfred Percy Kent was born in Hackney, Middlesex, London, around 1897, the son of William and Sarah Elizabeth Kent. He served on the Western Front post-1915.

He was killed in action on the 19th of August 1918 in France and Flanders, likely a part of the 36th (Ulster) Division during the lead-up to the Battle of Courtrai. He was buried in Bertenacre Military Cemetery, Fletre.
