A brass button of the Grenadier Guards made to the George V pattern used between 1910 and 1936. It features the regiment’s distinctive flaming grenade emblem beneath the cypher of George V (GRV) and Tudor (King’s) Crown. Buttons of this pattern were worn on service and dress uniforms throughout the First World War and inter-war period

Diameter
17mm

Condition
Very good overall, with clear and well-defined detail to the grenade and crown. The brass surface shows a fairly even patina with only light wear from age and service use. The reverse retains its original shank, which remains secure and intact. Maker marks may vary
