Original Imperial German Colonial Troops uniform button, manufactured in white metal and measuring 16mm in diameter. Issued for use on the tunics and dress uniforms of Germany’s overseas Schutztruppe (protection troops) during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

These buttons feature the Imperial Crown with a plain back and loop shank for sewing to tunics or dress coats. These buttons were worn by German troops serving in colonies such as German East Africa, German South-West Africa, Kamerun, and Togo.
