Imperial German Ersatz EB55 Bayonet. Manufactured during the start of the Great War to make up for shortages of bayonets in the German and Axis arsenal.
281mm single-edge, single fuller blade with wooden inlaid and grooved grips, held in place with a single nut and bolt. Acceptance is marked on the spine, with no other markings visible, in a fairly crude steel scabbard, loosely based on the standard 1898/05 bayonet. 404mm in length (out of the scabbard)
Condition: Good. The grips are fairly beaten up. The blade and sheath are lightly pitted and discoloured. The catch is currently not free-moving.
