An original Weimar / Third Reich–era steel drill shell for the 20mm Flak 30/38 anti-aircraft autocannon, inert for training use. Produced as a solid steel imitation of a live shell, drill rounds were issued to armourers and gun crews for handling practice, bore gauging and loading drills where live ammunition was not required.

Head stamp reads “Heer” (Army), with Waffenamt “WaA405” and a trademark

Condition
Good. The tip and body show some light rust, with little pitting, damage or wear. Designed to be inert, so it is safe for display.
