20mm uniform button from the Polizia dell’Africa Italiana (Italian African Police), dating from the period of Italian colonial rule between 1936 and 1945. This button features the Italian Imperial Eagle atop a knotted rope. These were worn in Fascist Italy’s colonies in East Africa, including Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Italian Somaliland.
