Italian M1937 Fascist Militia Black Shirts Dress Dagger

Italian M1937 Fascist Militia Blackshirts Dress Dagger, unusual in that its features face the trailing edge rather than the more normal leading edge. The MVSN, Milizia Volontaria per la Sicurezza Nazionale, (Volunteer Militia for National Security), is commonly called the Black Shirts. The length of the dagger in the scabbard is 350mm.

Condition: Excellent. It was worn of course, but never abused. The blade is near mint. The gold-plated scabbard tip is tarnished, as are the two ring mount bands, Italian dress daggers are much scarcer than their German counterparts.
