Uniform button of the Lothian and Border Horse Yeomanry, produced to the 1908–1953 pattern adopted following the formation of the Territorial Force. The regiment served in both mounted and armoured roles, with this style of button worn on service dress and ceremonial uniforms throughout the First World War, the inter-war years, and into the early post-war period.
Manufactured in brass and die-struck with clear relief, the button bears the King’s crown within a scallopped border and the regimental title “Lothian and Border Horse Yeomanry”, reflecting its use during the reigns of Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII, and George VI. The reverse is fitted with a fixed shank for sewing to uniform garments.
