A fine original Ottoman Turkish Army Infantry uniform button, dating from the late 19th to mid-20th century, and finished in bright gilt brass.

Description

This attractive Ottoman military button features:

• The classic star and crescent emblem of the Ottoman Empire, deeply struck and well-defined.

• A gilt finish, retaining good original brightness with light, age-appropriate wear.

• Lined domed form typical of infantry-issue buttons of the period.

• Reverse fitted with the original loop shank, strong and intact.

These buttons were commonly worn on tunics and dress uniforms into the mid-20th century.
