Queen’s Own Hussars, 1958–1993 pattern original cap badge. Formed in 1958 by the amalgamation of the 3rd Hussars and the 7th Hussars, the regiment retained its distinctive cavalry traditions until merging into the Queen’s Royal Hussars in 1993.
The gilt and silver plate badge features the regimental emblem of the galloping horse with a scroll beneath reading “The Queen’s Own Hussars”. This officer’s version was worn on service dress caps and forage caps throughout the Elizabethan era. Reverse fitted with original east-west positioned eyed lugs for attachment.

Condition
Very good. The gilt finish is still bright, and the silvered detail clear. Reverse fittings are present and functional. Minor age-related wear only.
