Chrome shoulder title for the Rhodesia Prison Service, worn during the later period of the Rhodesian state before 1980. The title displays the initials “RPS” in clean, pierced lettering with a polished chrome finish typical of Rhodesian uniform insignia of the era. These titles were worn on the shoulder straps of service dress uniforms, identifying personnel of the prison service within Rhodesia’s internal security structure.
Produced in white metal with a bright chrome-plated surface, the lettering is well-formed with good clarity and sharp definition. The reverse is fitted with standard lugs for attachment, as expected for original period manufacture.
