Rifle Brigade (The Prince Consort’s Own) cap badge, restrike example of the short-lived 1956–1958 pattern, representing the insignia worn by this distinguished rifle regiment of the British Army during the late post-war period. This badge features the regiment’s traditional strung bugle horn emblem in the centre of a Maltese cross and wreath bearing the various battle honours of the Rifle Brigade, surmounted by a ducal crown and incorporating the regiment’s title, “Rifle Brigade”, within a circlet, all executed in white metal characteristic of rifle regiments.
