Pair of officers’ collar badges of the Royal Army Medical Corps, produced to the post-1953 pattern bearing the Queen’s Crown. This long-running design was worn throughout the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and reflects the Corps’ enduring role as the British Army’s medical service. Officers’ collar badges were worn in 1-way facing or matched pairs on service dress and ceremonial tunics.
Manufactured in gilt and silver-plated metal to officer standard, the badge displays the RAMC emblem of the Rod of Asclepius within a laurel wreath, surmounted by the Queen’s Crown. The detailing is crisp and well defined, in keeping with higher-quality officer insignia. The reverse is fitted with fixing lugs for attachment to the collar.
Dimensions
Approx. 33mm x 24mm
Condition
Very good, with sharp detail and an even gilt finish. Light age-related toning may be present, but the badge remains well preserved, and the lugs are intact and secure.
