An anodised aluminium cap badge to the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC), featuring the Queen’s Crown, as introduced in the early 1950s and worn throughout the latter half of the 20th century. This lightweight staybrite badge was standard issue for RAMC personnel, replacing earlier brass and bi-metallic versions post-WWII.
The design consists of the traditional Rod of Asclepius—the symbol of medicine—encircled by a laurel wreath and surmounted by the St Edward’s (Queen’s) Crown, signifying service under Queen Elizabeth II. The scroll below reads “In Arduis Fidelis” (Faithful in Adversity) . The anodised finish retains its bright silver and gold anodised aluminium.
Fitted to the reverse with its slider, suitable for wear on the beret or service dress cap
Condition: Very Good – Bright anodised finish intact; original slider straight and firmly affixed.
Dimensions: Approx. 43mm x 29mm
