Officer’s cap badge of the Royal Army Medical Corps, produced to the post-1953 pattern bearing the Queen’s Crown. The design features the traditional RAMC emblem of the Rod of Asclepius set within a laurel wreath, symbolising the Corps’ medical role within the British Army, and a scroll with the motto “In Arduis Fidelis” (Faithful in Adversity). This pattern was worn throughout the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and is a long-established and recognisable element of RAMC officers’ insignia.
The badge is manufactured in gilt and silver-plated metal, typically reserved for officer-quality insignia, with crisp detail and a refined finish. The reverse is fitted with standard lugs for attachment to a peaked cap or beret.
Dimensions
Approx. 43mm x 30mm
Condition
Very good, with sharp detail and an even gilt finish. Light age-related toning is present, but the badge remains well preserved, and the lugs are intact and secure.
