Royal Army Reserve Hallmark Silver Buttonhole Lapel Badge, Dated 1938

Royal Army Reserve buttonhole lapel badge, struck in hallmarked sterling silver and officially dated 1938 (“O” hallmark). This high-quality badge features the crown and lion, encircled by the inscription “Royal Army Reserve” and surmounted by the King’s Crown. These were issued to reservists of the British Army.

Fitted with a buttonhole horseshoe fitting for civilian wear, this piece would have been worn on a jacket lapel to denote active reserve status. The silver hallmark confirms its official manufacture in 1938.
