Royal Army Service Corps (RASC) sweetheart brooch with 1937–1952 pattern badge design, detailed with enamel and mounted on a long bar pin. Sweetheart brooches like this were keepsakes, worn by wives, mothers, and loved ones to show their connection to a serving soldier.
This example shows the RASC badge design with the GRVI (George VI) royal cypher, crowned star, and the bold ROYAL ARMY SERVICE CORPS scroll below. The badge is fixed to a long bar pin, which fastens securely to a lapel, blouse, or dress. These pieces were often privately purchased gifts given by soldiers to their families or sweethearts as a token of affection and pride.
Condition: Very good.
