Royal Corps of Signals (1920-1948 Pattern) Cap Badge, Restrike

Royal Corps of Signals cap badge produced as a restrike of the 1920–1948 pattern worn from the formation of the Corps in 1920 through the Second World War and into the early post-war period. This British Army corps cap badge displays the recognised Royal Corps of Signals insignia in clear relief, incorporating the crowned figure of Mercury (the “Jimmy” device) inside an oval circlet bearing the regimental title “Royal Corps of Signals”, arranged in a formal and balanced composition characteristic of British Army headdress insignia. The design reflects the Corps’ specialist communications role and its extensive service during the inter-war and Second World War years.

Manufactured in bimetal (gilding metal and white metal), consistent with service dress wear of the period, this restrike example offers a sharply defined representation of the original early pattern.
