Royal Engineers waist belt clasp badge, featuring the Queen Victoria Crown, restrike example of the pre-1901 pattern. Die-struck in gilding metal, the clasp comprises a laurel wreath with a central 4-segment shield as seen on the Royal Coat of Arms with the motto “Honi soit qui mal y pense”, with the Royal Engineers motto “Ubique” below and surmounted by the Victorian Crown. This pattern was worn on the full dress waist belt by officers and senior NCOs before the change to the King’s Crown in 1901. The reverse is fitted with east-west eyed lug fittings
