Officer’s silver plate and gilt glengarry badge for the Royal Highlanders (Black Watch), produced to the post-1953 pattern incorporating the Queen’s Crown. The badge features the prominent St Andrew with a cross within a cirlcet bearing the motto “Nemo me impune lacessit” (Latin: No One Provokes Me with Impunity), with the star of the Order of the Thistle, thistle sprays with finely finished gilt highlights to the central device and silver plate to the surrounding star. Worn on the glengarry cap by officers, this badge reflects the Black Watch’s strong Highland identity and long regimental tradition, continuing the lineage of one of the British Army’s most distinguished infantry regiments.
