An anodised aluminium cap badge of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, produced to the pattern in use between 1960 and the regiment’s amalgamation in 1968. This British Army cap badge represents the regiment’s designated insignia in relief, featuring George slaying the dragon in the centre, surrounded by a circlet reading “Quo Fata Vocant” (Whither the Fates call) in silver-coloured aluminium, and a characteristic Fusilier design grenade in gold-coloured aluminium. Manufactured for wear on service dress caps, it reflects the lighter, durable construction associated with anodised stay-brite badges of the period.
