An original Victorian-era brass shoulder title reading “DERBY”, as worn by the Sherwood Foresters (Derbyshire Regiment) between 1881 and 1902. This pattern was introduced following the Childers Reforms and remained in use until the name change to Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment).
Struch in solid brass, the title features a curved, serifed lettering, designed to be worn on the shoulder straps of service dress uniforms with lugs
Condition: Very good, with original dark patina. Both fastening lugs are intact.
