An original brass shoulder title for the Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment), featuring the single-line inscription “FORESTERS” in serifed uppercase lettering. This pattern was introduced in the early post-World War I period (c.1920) and remained in use until the regiment’s amalgamation in 1970 with the Worcestershire Regiment to form the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment.
This title was worn on the Service Dress epaulettes across a variety of theatres, including interwar postings, Second World War campaigns, and post-war. Reverse fitted with two original copper lugs (loops) for secure attachment.
