South Wales Borderers, 1898-1959 pattern, pair of collar badges. Each badge features the regiment’s male sphinx emblem over the battle honour Egypt. This design was worn on service dress tunics from the late Victorian era through both World Wars, until the South Wales Borderers amalgamated into the Royal Regiment of Wales. Struck in white metal for other ranks, these collar badges were worn in facing pairs, as offered here. Both retain lugs on the reverse.
