Brass tunic button of the Sussex Yeomanry, produced to the King’s Crown pattern used from 1902 until the mid-20th century. The design features the regiment’s traditional emblem, incorporating the county arms, surmounted by the King’s Crown. Such buttons were worn on service dress and full dress uniforms by officers and other ranks of the regiment.

The button is die-struck in brass with clear relief, typical of early 20th-century military manufacture. The reverse is fitted with a shank for sewing to the uniform.

Diameter
19mm

Condition
Good, showing an attractive aged patina with surface wear from over-cleaning. The detailing remains clear, and the shank is intact and secure.
